I Corinthians 12:28
And in the church God has appointed first of all apostles,
second prophets, third teachers, then workers of miracles,
also those having gifts of healing, those able to help
others, those with gifts of administration, and those
speaking in different kinds of tongues.
I
chose the Administrative Assistant profession because it is
my passion and I am gifted to help. My experience is in supporting
and providing exceptional customer service. I've worked for
companies that were the cream of the crop in their industry
and in order for them to maintain their rank, they over-emphasized
the importance of customer satisfaction and retention and
I was a significant contributor.
On the "business" side, I enjoy
being responsible for a variety of tasks necessary to run
an office proficiently. Although the core functions have remained
much the same; creating spreadsheets, composing correspondence,
managing databases, etc., the role of an administrative assistant
has evolved greatly and has allowed me to assume a wider range
of new responsibilities.
On the "personal" side, I enjoy
being able to transfer my business skills and use them to
assist individuals whether they are a celebrity, professional
athlete, executive, business owner or simply in need of an
extra pair of hands.
Being in this line of work
allows me the opportunity to meet new people, acquire new
skills and share the talents I currently possess. Although
I can't help everyone, I'd like to be the best help to those
I can.
In closing I would like to
share with you one of my favorite Chinese proverbs:
If you would
be happy for an hour, take a nap.
If you would be happy for a day, go fishing.
If you would be happy for a month, get married.
If you would be happy for a year, inherit a fortune.
If you would be happy for life, love your work.
